The Best Farmers Markets Near Jacksonville & St. Augustine — Your 2026 Guide

Fresh produce, live music, local community — Northeast Florida — 2026 edition

There’s something about a farmers market morning that captures everything good about living in Northeast Florida.

The smell of fresh-cut flowers. The handshake with the farmer who grew your tomatoes. A cup of locally roasted coffee in hand, live music drifting from the riverfront stage, and the kind of relaxed Saturday morning energy that makes you think — this is exactly where I want to be.

If you’re already living in Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra, St. Johns, or St. Augustine — or if you’re thinking about making the move to this part of Florida — this guide is for you. I’ve rounded up the 10 best recurring farmers markets within 25 miles of the area, verified for 2026, with everything you need to plan your next outing.

Let’s go explore.

Why Farmers Markets Matter for the 55+ Lifestyle

For many of my clients who are right-sizing into 55+ and active adult communities in Northeast Florida, the first thing they ask about isn’t the amenities center or the golf course. It’s the lifestyle — what does daily life actually look and feel like here?

Farmers markets are one of the best answers to that question. They represent exactly what makes this region so special: a genuine sense of community, an abundance of fresh local food, walkable outdoor spaces, and the kind of unhurried morning that retirement was made for.

Whether you’re looking for organic produce, handmade crafts, fresh-cut flowers for the lanai, or just a reason to get out and connect with neighbors — Northeast Florida’s markets deliver all of it, year-round.

Jacksonville & The Beaches

1. Riverside Arts Market (RAM) — Every Saturday, Year-Round

715 Riverside Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32204  |  Saturdays 10 am – 3 pm  |  Rain or shine

Jacksonville’s most iconic weekly gathering, and for good reason. The Riverside Arts Market hosts nearly 150 makers, farmers, food trucks, and artists every single Saturday, rain or shine, under the dramatic canopy of the Fuller Warren Bridge along the St. Johns River.

The 350-seat riverfront amphitheater runs live music from 10 am to 3 pm, and the energy here is genuinely festive — think neighborhood festival meets farmers market meets street fair. It’s pet-friendly, family-welcoming, and one of the few markets in Florida that participates in the SNAP program, doubling dollars for fresh produce purchases.

What to look for: Local farm produce, handmade goods, fresh-cut flowers, artisan food vendors, and the first-Saturday-of-the-month craft beer garden along the river.

Nearby: Historic Riverside and Avondale neighborhoods, Cummer Museum of Art, bold bean Coffee (walkable).

Highways: Under I-95 (Fuller Warren Bridge), off Riverside Ave / I-10.

2. Beaches Green Market — Every Saturday, Year-Round

Penman Park, 321 Penman Rd, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250  |  Saturdays 10 am – 2 pm

A focused, curated beachside market held in shaded Penman Park, just minutes from the Atlantic. Smaller and more intimate than RAM, the Beaches Green Market emphasizes quality — local produce, artisan food vendors, baked goods, kombucha, and specialty items from producers who care deeply about what they’re growing and making.

What to look for: Fresh local produce, baked goods, kombucha, and handcrafted specialty food.

Highways: Near J. Turner Butler Blvd (SR-202), Jacksonville Beach.

  1. 7th Street, Historic Downtown Fernandina Beach, FL 32034 | Saturdays 9 am – 1 pm

Set in the heart of Fernandina Beach’s gorgeous Victorian downtown on Amelia Island, this charming market is as much a morning experience as it is a shopping trip. Wandering through the stalls — produce, ranchers, baked goods, and artisan vendors — then strolling down historic Centre Street for brunch is one of the best Saturday itineraries on the First Coast.

What to look for: Fresh farm produce, locally raised meats, baked goods, handmade crafts. Pet-friendly and family-welcoming.

Highways: Off A1A / SR-200, Amelia Island — approximately 35 minutes north of Southside Jacksonville.

Ponte Vedra & St. Johns County

4. Palm Valley Market — Every Tuesday, Year-Round

148 Canal Blvd, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082  |  Tuesdays 10 am – 1 pm

This is the market for the discerning shopper who cares where their food actually comes from. Palm Valley Market is widely regarded as the most farm-authentic market in Northeast Florida — organically grown produce, pasture-raised chicken and pork, grass-fed and grass-finished beef and lamb, raw milk, bone broth, local wildflower honey, and some of the best sourdough bread you’ll find anywhere in the region.

The market is held at the Palm Valley Community Center, which offers both indoor and open-air shopping — rare for a market this size, and especially welcome during summer months. This is a Tuesday market, which means it’s quieter, less crowded, and perfect for a focused mid-morning outing.

What to look for: Organic produce, pasture-raised meats, raw milk, sourdough and gluten-free breads, local honey, natural skincare, and artisan vendors.

Highways: Off Palm Valley Rd (CR-210); near US-1 and I-95 exit 329.

5. Ponte Vedra Farmers Market — Every Wednesday, Year-Round

880 A1A North, Shoppes of Ponte Vedra, FL 32082  |  Wednesdays 9 am – 1 pm

A relaxed midweek market tucked into the Shoppes of Ponte Vedra on A1A, this is the kind of farmers market that makes a Wednesday errand feel like a neighborhood gathering. Easy parking, a friendly mix of regulars, and a solid selection of fresh produce, local seafood, flowers, and artisan breads.

What to look for: Fresh produce, local seafood, cut flowers, baked goods, and breads.

Highways: On A1A North; near J. Turner Butler Blvd (SR-202) and the Sawgrass / TPC corridor.

The Nocatee Farmers Market is a monthly event done right. Held at Nocatee Station Field, this festive gathering features 70+ vendors, food trucks, beer and wine, live entertainment, and a rotating monthly theme that keeps it fresh and fun. It’s also a wonderful way to experience the Nocatee community itself — one of the most popular master-planned communities in Northeast Florida, with a vibrant, active lifestyle that’s hard not to fall in love with.

What to look for: Local produce, baked goods, artisan crafts, food trucks, beer and wine, live music, and family-friendly activities.

Highways: Off CR-210 / Valley Ridge Blvd; I-95 exit 329.

Set amid the resort-style landscape of World Golf Village, this relaxed Sunday market is a favorite for residents of the surrounding St. Johns communities — Murabella, Heritage Landing, Palencia, and the many 55+ neighborhoods in the area. Fresh produce, artisan foods, and local crafts in a walkable, peaceful setting make this a perfect Sunday morning ritual.

8. St. Augustine Amphitheatre Farmers Market (“The Amp”) — Every Saturday, Year-Round

1340C A1A South, St. Augustine, FL 32080  |  Saturdays 8:30 am – 12:30 pm

If you only visit one farmers market in St. Augustine, make it The Amp. This is one of the longest-running and most beloved markets in Northeast Florida, with more than 20 years of Saturday mornings under its belt. Over 100 vendors fill the shaded Amphitheatre parking area with fresh produce, flowers, artisan crafts, baked goods, specialty food, and live music — all with the distinctive energy of a place that genuinely means something to its community.

The flower stalls here are exceptional. The datil pepper products — a uniquely St. Augustine specialty — are something you won’t find anywhere else. And the mix of locals, retirees, and visitors gives it a vibrant but unhurried atmosphere that’s hard to replicate.

What to look for: Fresh produce, cut flowers, datil pepper specialties, baked goods, arts and crafts, live music. Pet-friendly.

Highways: On A1A South, near US-1; approximately 35 minutes from Southside Jacksonville.

Start your Wednesday at the oceanfront St. Augustine Beach Pier Park, where more than 70 vendors set up with fresh produce, handcrafted goods, and baked items — all with the sound of waves in the background. 10. Vilano Beach Artisan Market Walk — 3rd Saturday Evening, Monthly

Vilano Road near the Fishing Pier, St. Augustine, FL 32084  |  3rd Saturday, 4 pm – 8 pm

The only evening market on this entire list — and one of the most atmospheric. The Vilano Beach Artisan Market Walk takes place as the sun is setting over the waterfront, with local art, live music, and specialty foods (including those distinctive datil pepper treats) in a breezy, laid-back beach-town setting. It’s the perfect monthly excuse for a dinner-and-stroll evening that feels distinctly, beautifully St. Augustine.

What to look for: Local art, handmade crafts, datil pepper specialties, live music, fresh flowers.

Highways: Vilano Rd off US-1 North; near I-95 exit 337. Verify seasonal schedule on their Facebook page.

Local Tips — Make the Most of Your Market Morning

Best time to arrive: Within the first hour of opening. Fresh cut flowers and specialty items — especially at The Amp and Palm Valley Market — sell out fast. The early crowd is also more relaxed and less rushed.

What to bring: Reusable shopping bags, small bills (many vendors prefer cash), a cooler bag for meats, dairy, and eggs, and sunscreen. Most markets are free to enter.

Parking tips: RAM has street parking on Riverside Ave and lots off Park Street — arrive by 9:45 am on busy Saturdays. The Amp has a large free on-site lot. Nocatee at Nocatee Station has ample parking. Weekday markets (Tuesday, Wednesday) are almost always easy to park for.

Must-try items: Datil pepper products at any St. Augustine market (a signature of the region, found almost nowhere else in the country), sourdough loaves at Palm Valley Market, local wildflower honey at virtually any market, and fresh-cut flower bouquets — typically under $15 and stunning.

Nearby coffee: Bold Bean Coffee on Park St is walkable from RAM. Kookaburra Coffee & Café is close to The Amp in St. Augustine. At Palm Valley Market, some vendors sell locally roasted whole beans to take home.

Peak season for produce: October through February is Florida’s best growing season. This is when the produce selection is most abundant — tomatoes, strawberries, citrus, herbs, and greens. Summer markets are lighter on produce but still wonderful for artisan goods, flowers, and specialty food.

Seasonal Market Calendar Highlights

  • Fall (October–November): Season opens in full force. Best tomatoes, peppers, herbs, and cooler-weather crops. The Amp and Palm Valley Market are especially vibrant. Perfect market weather.
  • Winter (December–February): Peak Florida citrus season. Strawberries begin in January. Holiday markets at several locations feature special seasonal vendors and gifts. Comfortable 60–75°F mornings make this the most enjoyable market season.
  • Spring (March–May): Flowers are at their peak. Spring herb and plant vendors appear. The Vilano Beach evening market is especially lovely in the mild spring evenings.
  • Summer (June–September): Go early to beat the heat. Weekday markets (Tuesday/Wednesday) are more comfortable. Artisan vendors, baked goods, and specialty foods are strong year-round regardless of season.

This Is What Your Weekends Could Look Like

I work exclusively with 55+, active adult, and retirement-minded buyers and sellers across Northeast Florida — and one of the things I hear most often from clients who have made the move here is how surprised they are by how much there is to do.

Not “busy” in the way that wears you out — but alive. Saturday mornings at the Riverside Arts Market. Tuesday afternoons at Palm Valley. A spontaneous Wednesday trip to the St. Augustine Beach Pier. These aren’t activities you schedule — they become the rhythm of your week.

If you’re thinking about right-sizing into a 55+ community or active adult neighborhood in this area — whether that’s Nocatee, Ponte Vedra, St. Johns County, the St. Augustine area, or anywhere on the First Coast — I’d love to show you what your daily life could look like here.

Let’s have that conversation.
