Looking for something fun to do in Jacksonville this weekend?
I’ve rounded up some of the best Jacksonville weekend events for October 30–November 1, 2026, including free live music, local arts markets, beautiful gardens, and a few easy day trips.
Whether you’re looking for a relaxing morning or a little adventure with friends, here are some of my favorites!
Friday Night in Avondale
Looking for an easy Friday evening outing?
Amplified Avondale returns October 30 from 6–9:30 PM.
Enjoy free live music, local artwork, and the restaurants along St. Johns Avenue.
Grab dinner with friends, enjoy the music, and spend a little time exploring one of Jacksonville’s prettiest historic neighborhoods.
Art and Ocean Breezes
Saturday brings the Jax Beach Arts Market to Seawalk Pavilion from 10 AM–4 PM.
Browse original artwork, handmade jewelry, pottery, and creations from local artists.
Admission is free!
And since you’re already at the beach, why not make a morning of it and enjoy lunch nearby?
Jacksonville Weekend Events: Markets and Local Shopping
This Saturday, Riverside Arts Market is going to the dogs!
The annual Arf Barket brings adoptable dogs from Jacksonville Animal Care & Protective Services to the market.
You’ll still find the usual local artists, farmers, food vendors, and beautiful St. Johns River views.
It’s a fun way to support local businesses and maybe meet a new four-legged friend!
Something Different: The Persimmon Festival
Now this sounds interesting!
Eat Your Yard Jax is hosting its 6th Annual Persimmon Festival on Sunday, November 1, from 10 AM–4 PM.
Enjoy persimmon tastings, live music, gardening workshops, and local vendors.
If you enjoy gardening or learning about plants that grow well in Northeast Florida, this might be worth checking out.
Tickets are $25 online or $30 at the gate.
A Little Art and Culture
Looking for something indoors?
MOCA Jacksonville offers free admission every Saturday from 11 AM–5 PM.
Or visit the Cummer Museum to see its Tiffany glass exhibition, featuring beautiful lamps and the stories behind their craftsmanship.
On Sunday, the Cummer also offers an all-levels yoga class in its gardens.
Take a Little Road Trip
Sometimes a change of scenery is all you need!
Head north to Fernandina Beach for its Saturday farmers market, then enjoy lunch and shopping downtown.
Or drive south to St. Augustine for a performance of To Kill a Mockingbird at the Limelight Theatre.
The Sunday matinee is especially convenient if you prefer not to drive home late.
Spending the Weekend with Grandchildren?
Jacksonville’s Treats at the Plaza takes place Saturday, October 31, from 11 AM–3 PM at Riverfront Plaza.
The free event features trick-or-treating, costumes, entertainment, and family activities. The city recently updated the hours, so be sure to use the new 11 AM start time. Jacksonville
Enjoy Your Weekend!
One of the things I love about Jacksonville is having so many choices.
We can enjoy the beach, explore a neighborhood, discover a local market, or take a short drive and experience something completely different.
These Jacksonville weekend events October 30–November 1 offer something for almost everyone, from live music and local markets to art, nature, and easy day trips.
And that’s part of what makes life after 55 in Northeast Florida so much fun! So grab a friend, make some plans, and enjoy your weekend.
Whether you are right-sizing, relocating, retiring, or simply looking for more ways to enjoy life after 55, Jacksonville has plenty to offer.
